RILEY COUNTY - Residents north and west of Randolph are being asked to prepare to evacuate on short notice.
The Axelton Hill Road fire continues to burn out of control north of Randolph.
The wildfire is moving quickly to the northwest, pushed by the strong winds.
Those who live in the area between Green-Randolph Road and Rose Hill Road, west to the Riley County/Clay County line are being asked to stay aware and be prepare to evacuate on short notice.
US HWY 24 remains closed due to low visibility conditions on the highway from the wildfire.
