Joining me on "Coffee Talk" this week is Rick Dykstra, the the former (now retired) assistant director of the Geary County Convention and Visitors's Bureau. An avid outdoorsman, he talks about his years with the CVB and making Milford Lake and outdoor opportunities in Geary County a cornerstone of attracting visitors to the community. He also highlights the "College Classic Bracket Tournament" on Milford Lake this Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Sept 29-Oct. 2) when eight of the best college fishermen in the nation will compete for a berth in the National Bassmaster Classic Tournament. Dykstra tells me officials of the Convention and Visitor's Bureau, JC Mainstreet and the Farnum Creek Acorns Resort are encouraging community members to come to the Farnum Creek boat ramp area before 6:45 a.m. tomorrow morning to welcome and cheer on the participants (below) in the College Classic Bracket Tournament.
