My guest on Coffee Talk this time is State Representative Nathan Butler (68th District) who will begin his second legislative session in early January. In addition to his duties as State Representative, he served in the U.S. Army retiring at the end of 20 years at the rank of Major; is a Pastor; and a real estate agent.
In our interview, he talked to me about about the make-up of the 68th District, it's wide-ranging mix of small cities and towns spread through sections of Geary, Riley and Morris counties. He also outlines bills he worked on in his first session and those he will continue to track in the new session beginning in early January 2024. Rep. Butler also addresses some of the inner-workings of the Kansas Legislature and its hectic pace.
