The City of Manhattan has announced that starting Sunday, September 28, there will be one or two overnight closures on Anderson Avenue that will prevent through traffic, in order to locate utilities in the roadway.
The first closure will occur starting at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 and continue until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29. If needed, a second closure would occur starting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 and continue until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The closure zone on Anderson will be from Connecticut Avenue to College Heights Road/Timberlane Drive. Local access will be available only for emergency vehicles and those with driveways in the work zone.
Monitor City social media for updates about whether the second closure will occur.
The official detour during this temporary closure is Hylton Heights Road to Claflin Road to College Avenue to College Heights Road.
