MANHATTAN - Around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14th, Riley County Police officers were called out to the 200 block of N. 9th Street in Manhattan on the report of battery.
A 24-year-old man reported a 40-year-old man had slapped him and bit him in the face before officers arrived.
When officers attempted to arrest the 40-year-old suspect, identified as Wendell Parrish of Manhattan, he resisted arrest by physically fighting the officers.
Parrish was arrested for battery, battery on LEO, and interference with LEO. He remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $7,000.
