Donna Margarite (Sebring) Whitney, age 89, of Manhattan, died November 24, 2021, at her residence on Gumbo Hill. She was born October 13, 1932, at the family farm, Gumbo Hill, northwest of Manhattan, the daughter of Michael T. and Erma F. (Freesman) Sebring. Donna is survived by her husband of 69 ½ years, Harry E. Whitney, II. Additional survivors include her two children: Donita Whitney-Bammerlin and Harry E. “Spud” Whitney, III both of Manhattan; and one granddaughter: Laurel “Lori” Bammerlin of Manhattan. If you knew Donna, nothing more needs said. If you didn’t know her, you wouldn’t believe what you read. Private family graveside services will be held at Sedalia Community Cemetery. Donna will be lying in state at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home. Viewing and signing the registry book in welcomed anytime Tuesday, November 30th, between the hours of 2:00 to 8:00 P.M.
