&nbsp; Theresa Marie “Terry” McGuire-Davis, 76, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 19, 1949, in Junction City, the first born of Martin J. McGuire, Jr. and Francis G (Connell) McGuire.Terry graduated from St. Xavier‘s High School in Junction City in 1967 and remained a proud member of St. Xavier‘s Catholic Church throughout her life.

From an early age, Terry’s strength, compassion, and devotion to family became her defining qualities. At age 17, after the passing of her mother, she lovingly stepped into the role of matriarch and mentor to her 11 younger siblings, offering guidance, love, and stability when they needed it most. Her steady presence and nurturing heart became the foundation of a close-knit family that continues to draw strength from her example.

On March 4, 1998, Terry was united in marriage to Michael E. Davis in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared a bond of love, adventure, and laughter.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp; In the 1970s, Terry traveled the country driving for Mobile Travelers, delivering units across the United States. Later, she dedicated many years to Geary County Public Works, where she proudly held a variety of positions, her last serving as a Certified Waste Water IV Operator, a role she worked hard to achieve. Her dedication and work ethic earned the respect of her colleagues and her community.

Terry was an adventurous, free-spirited, and hard-working woman with a generous heart and a gentle soul. She and her husband shared a passion for barbecue competing in numerous contest, and later serving as judges. A tremendous cook, she was instrumental in keeping her large family close, organizing annual Fourth of July family reunions, holidays, and special occasions that created lifelong memories for generations. 

She was an avid reader and lifelong learner. She enjoyed collecting vintage brooches and antique ashtrays. A hobby that showcased her appreciation of both beauty and history. Terry was an active member of her community and several organizations, including the National Democratic Women’s Club, the American Legion, and the Elks. She was involved in local politics, and in the 1990s she ran for the Kansas House of Representatives in the 65th District. Her commitment to Service, friendship, and fellowship, reflected her deep care for others and her love of life.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Dennis McGuire and Daniel McGuire; sister, Cindy Craddock; and brothers-in-law Bob Dean and David Craddock.

Terry is survived by her husband, Mike Davis of Junction City; sisters, Pat Dean of Topeka, Sandy Killinger (Rich) of Lockhaven, Pennsylvania, Mary Smith (Frank) of Geary County, Katy Noa (Elias) of Junction City, and Micky McGuire of Geary County; brothers, Marty McGuire of Reno, Nevada, John McGuire (Angie) of Rogers, Arkansas, and Richard McGuire (Glenda) of Potrero, California; sisters-in-law, Maureen McGuire of Olathe, Kansas, and Liz McGuire of Branson, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who deeply cherished her. Terry‘s warmth, humor, and boundless love, will continue to live on in the heart of all who were blessed to know her.

A rosary will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, November 20, 2025 at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 am with Father Peter O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Junction City.&nbsp;

Jerrold Dean Lyne, 65 of Enterprise passed away November 15, 2025. He was born December 24, 1959 in Elsworth, Kansas the son of Virgil and Nancy (Wrench) Lyne. He graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1978.

On October 28, 1978 he was united in marriage to Jataner “Jay” Spencer in Bennington, Kansas. She survives of the home. Jerrold served in the United States Army and retired from the National Guard as a technician. Jerrold is survived by his loving wife Jay. Jerrold Dean Lyne

Cheryl Anne Godlove Reves&nbsp;was gathered unto God on Friday, November 14th, at her home on Spring Creek Road, surrounded by her beloved fiancée Harold Armstrong, family, friends and Pottawatomie County Emergency personnel. She was born February 6th, 1948 the youngest child of Sherman Roosevelt and Cheryl Margaret Seymour Godlove of rural Westmoreland. Anne lived on the family farm with her parents and siblings Sherman Keith Godlove, Muriel Patricia Godlove, and Elizabeth “Jo” Godlove. She spent a lot of time with her brother affectionately known as “Bub” as he was a confirmed bachelor and stayed on the family farm all his life.

Anne was educated in the Westmoreland school system and graduated from Westmoreland Rural High School in May of 1966. A love of music was one of Anne’s passions and she was involved in dance and become a lifelong piano player after taking lessons at Cree Brothers funeral home where the undertaker’s dog often lay under the piano bench and growled at her. She was involved with many other organizations and activities during her school years and gained many lifelong friendships among her classmates.

On September 22nd, of 1966 she married Dale Reves and they made their home on a farm in rural Fostoria, Kansas. The following year on March 15th of 1967 they welcomed their only child a son Robert Joseph to the world. They moved to another farm on Spring Creek Road a move of one mile and spent their time farming and pursuing jobs off the farm to supplement their income. Anne was a wonderful mother and homemaker and enjoyed pursuits as far ranging as mushroom hunting to raising the&nbsp;to raising the broilers for the Godlove’s annual chicken butchering after her mother passed. She encouraged an early love of nature in her son and they spent hours looking for fossils on Ostergard road. She and Dale later divorced.

In her working life Anne did clerical work for the Pottawatomie County ASCS office and became well known to area farm families. She then took a job with the Pottawatomie County Treasurers office working for Faye Pittinger a member of her extended family. Having political aspirations of her own Anne ran a successful campaign for Register of Deeds unseating Erwin Scott and served a term in that office. In the next election cycle, she decided to run for County Treasurer and was defeated in that race. She then moved on to Kansas State University and worked early on for the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work. Her next move was to the College of Human Ecology and her final disposition there was an Army School Agent Teen Training Grant that set up youth social programming across the United States and abroad. While working at K-State Anne proceeded to take classes to supplement some college credit she had already obtained earning a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with honors. Before her retirement Anne used this opportunity to substitute teach as well as becoming an instructor and trainer for the Highland Community College branch in Wamego, Ks.

Socially Anne was very active in her community and abroad. She was a leader of her son’s Cloverleaf 4-H club in Fostoria, Kansas and inspired many area youth in this endeavor. She was also a member of the Fostoria Extension Homemakers Unit with many area friends and neighbors. During her son’s high school years, she extended her love of working with area youth from 4-H to FFA becoming a Charter Member of the Westmoreland FFA Alumni and later the Rock Creek FFA Alumni. She was an officer several times for the Westmoreland High School Alumni Association and along with her son Rob and Brenda Heptig helped publish an all-high school almanac and had trophy cases built to display the honors accorded her alma mater. She was a member of Eastern Star coming from a family with strong Masonic ties and enjoyed seeing her son elected as the last Worthy Patron of the Manhattan Chapter as well as serving in a number of positions in her own right. She was a township officer for Rock Creek working to maintain roads and cemeteries in that township; in later years this led her to serving on the Antioch cemetery board in rural Frankfort. She was a life member of the Onaga Historical Society. A member of the Arthur Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Mrs. John A. Logan Tent #6 of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. As a “Red Hatter” in the “Flinthills Floozies” Anne had a great deal of fun with her fellow floozies! She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a long-time choir, pianist, and memorials committee member while in attendance.

Anne’s greatest joy lay in her family and that of her fiancée Harold Armstrong. She was a wonderful cook and many recipes handed down from her mother and elder family members made the tables groan at holidays and family events. She rejoiced when her son married his wife Lesa Ann Hugunin on June 8th, 1991 and organized a blue grass band and hog roast for their wedding. She gloried in spending time with her grandson’s Sheridan Graden and Morgan Blue Reves and mourned the loss of her granddaughter Mariahann Fairelight Reves due to a diaphragmatic hernia. She loved spending time with family and friends and for a number of years organized the Godlove family reunion. Traveling was also a passion and she went on several adventures with Harold and his extended family including a trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame where Harold’s image appears in the noted artist Thomas Hart Benton’s, “The Birth of Country Music” mural. She also went on a memorable trip to Isreal with tour guide former schoolmate Clark Tanner and several area residents.

In passing Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and their spouses, and her infant granddaughter Mariah. She leaves to mourn her son Robert and his wife Lesa and their children Sheridan and Morgan of rural Olsburg. Her fiancée Harold of the home in rural Frankfort. Also, Harold’s immediate family, Linda and Carl Dressman and family and Donnie and Jessie Armstrong and family respectively of Frankfort; Kim and Bob Seleska and family of Blue Rapids; Justin and Evangeline Armstrong and family of rural Frankfort; as well as Beverly and Corey Grosdidier and family of Omaha, Nebraska.

Respect calls are 5-7 p.m. Thursday the 20th at the Campanella Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Kansas. Funeral Services at Trinity Baptist Church of Wamego at 10:30 a.m. Friday the 21st with a luncheon and committal service to follow at the Westmoreland City Cemetery in Westmoreland, Kansas at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. With her granddaughter’s death this was a cause very near and dear to Anne’s heart.

Janette L Sanders, affectionately known as "Sista," passed away on November 16, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas. Born on January 24, 1956, in Norfolk, Virginia, Janette embodied an outgoing spirit, deeply rooted in her faith and characterized by her kindness, humor, and fashion sense. She was well-known for her giving nature, impacting everyone she met with her love and warmth.

Janette found great joy in time spent with her family, relishing every moment they came together from across the country. Her role as a doting grandmother was one of her proudest accomplishments, as she cherished her grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Sanders, whom she married on November 7, 1998, in Junction City, Kansas.

Janette leaves behind a vibrant family that includes her daughters, Barbie (Kelvin) Miller, Shaniqual (Al) Johnson, A'Brenna Sanders, Tonami Sanders, Tiffany Sanders, and Sheena Sanders. Her sons, Christopher (Pam) Cooper and Robert (Dasia) Cooper, also carry forward her legacy along with her cherished grandchildren Christian (Virginia) &nbsp;Cooper, Re'kwan (Jasmine) Cooper, Antwan Venning, David Broughton III, Jantia (Torrence) Best, Natassja Venning, and Talaysia Broughton, as well as three great-grandchildren. Janette's love will continue to inspire her surviving sisters, Mary Dozier, Deborah Williams, and Paula (Gregory) Andrews, and her brother Howard Vick Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Before her departure, Janette enjoyed lively dancing, relished music, and had an enthusiasm for shopping that complemented her fashionable flair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Vick and Goldie Mae Cooper, and her brothers, David Vick and Clifford Vick.

A memorial service celebrating Janette's life will be held on November 22, 2025, at New Church of The Living God in Junction City, Kansas, beginning at 10:00 AM. Perry Martin, born on August 7, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 10, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Perry was married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Diane Jolley, on August 11, 1979, in Millbourne, Pennsylvania. Their enduring love was frequently mentioned as one of his proudest accomplishments, alongside the joy he felt for their two sons, Gabe and Perry.

Perry had a distinguished career in the Junction City and Manhattan area in the automobile industry for over 30 years. Most notably, he excelled at Briggs Auto Group in Manhattan, where his talent for connecting with customers shined. A Philadelphia Eagles and K-State Wildcats fan, he was a supporter of their teamwork. He also cherished visiting Branson to enjoy Christian plays and productions with his love.

They were married 59 years. Connie was a farm wife and mother. She also was an editor for the Solomon newspaper, member of Solomon USD 393 school board, Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader and Solomon Church Altar Society, Catechism Teacher. Her most rewarding years were spent in the Salina Schools for years as a Para for special needs kids and worked as a beautician. 

Connie is survived by her loving husband Bill. Three children: Kristi (Ronnie) Brunner of Abilene; Laura (John) Killen-Wing of Colorado and Kevin Burt of Solomon. Grandchildren: Tony (McKenzie) Tovar of Abilene; Aaron Tovar of Abilene; Chris (Audra) Brunner of Hoisington; Sheri (Tripp) Libby of Maine; Lindsay Burt of Nebraska; Haley (Ty) Ybarra of Colorado and Jack Killen of Colorado. Donald R. Printy, affectionately known as Don, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 85. Born on April 3, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, Don lived his life with a deep appreciation for the comforts of home and the joy of family.

Don found great happiness in his marriage to Barbara Printy, whom he wed on November 24, 1979, in Junction City, Kansas. Together, they built a loving family that brought him immense pride. Don is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara, son Van Printy, and daughter Julie (Mark) DeVolder. He cherished being a grandfather to Brock DeVolder and Alaina (Jared) Ray. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law Ernie Sanders, who shares in the remembrance of a man dedicated to his loved ones and his passions.

Don had numerous interests that added color to his life. His early years included a passion for drag racing, and later in life he developed an enjoyment of trap shooting, both activities highlighted his adventurous spirit. As the years progressed, he found comfort in quieter pursuits, particularly enjoying shows on the History Channel and Discovery Channel. A fervent sports enthusiast, Don was an avid supporter of K-State and Chiefs football, relishing each game with enthusiasm.

Over the years, he owned and collected vintage automobiles, specifically Chevrolets.

During his time in Junction City, he was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church and was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus.

Don's legacy will be carried on in the hearts of those he leaves behind, including his wife, children, and grandchildren, who will continue to celebrate the love and warmth he brought into their lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Geraldine Printy, as well as his siblings, Louann Sanders, Geraldine Kormeier, Skip Printy, and Michael Printy, and his beloved dog "Murfi Mae".

As we reflect on Don's life, we honor the cherished family moments, shared laughter, and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed and remembered with love and respect.

Cindy was a dedicated military spouse for 20 years and later embraced the role of a police officer's spouse for another 20 years. She was known for her friendly demeanor and her deep care for others, traits that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

On June 18, 1971, Cindy married her beloved husband, John E. Hagerty, in Crystal, Minnesota. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Cindy was immensely proud of her two daughters, Jennifer A. Wright and Katrina Halpain, whom she raised with devotion and grace. Her loyalty to her family was unwavering, and she delighted in watching her family grow, embracing each new addition joyfully. She cherished her grandsons, Devin Wright and Gage Wright, as well as her granddaughters, Caitlyn Halpain, Sierra Wright, Kellie Savage, and Nickitta Shelton. Furthermore, she took great pride in her several great-grandchildren.

Cindy had a passion for reading, crafting, and needlework, and she enjoyed antiquing and collecting porcelain dolls, among various trinkets. She cherished the fun-filled memories of road trips to Minnesota and Alaska to visit family. Additionally, she found joy in attending renaissance festivals and state fairs, creating a tapestry of experiences that her family will remember fondly.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Hagerty; her daughters, Jennifer A. Scott was born on March 27, 1982, in Honolulu, Hawaii and was raised in Dwight, Kansas by his parents Daniel and Cynthia Cronin. Scott graduated from Council Grove High School before attending Kansas State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.

Scott began his career working for the City of Manhattan in the Housing Rehabilitation Department. He later founded his own business, Swiftwater Irrigation Company, and later worked for Elevate 114 Apartments of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

He had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time outdoors. Scott enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, listening to music, building model cars, and fixing things. He cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Jessie.

Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaret Langley and Lawrence Lazear, and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Joe Cronin. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Cindy Cronin; his sister, Kendra Williams (Damien); his brother, Jordan Cronin (Jenni); and his nieces, Ashlee and Madison Williams.

Scott will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.

Zola “Barbara” (Hamilton) Banks Schelp was born July 11, 1933, to Herschel and Edith (Booi) Hamilton at their home in Bates County Missouri on State Line. Barbara contracted Scarlet Fever at the age of 2 and lost her hearing. Becoming Deaf did not quench her adventurous spirit. At about the same age she coaxed their work horse to lower his head so she could clamber onto his back and go for a ride.&nbsp;

At age 5 her parents dropped her off at the Missouri School for the Deaf (MSD) boarding school to begin her education. She had one biological sister 7 years older, but that day she gained “dorm sisters” who remained the closest of friends their whole lives. She graduated in 1951 from MSD. She had several jobs before securing a job with the United States Department of Agriculture where she worked for over 30 years and retired in 1994.

On June 6, 1959, she married Frederick C. Banks at the First Presbyterian Church in Olathe, Kansas. They had two children, Christopher and Nancy. They were married 37 years. They divorced in 1996. She married Harold Schelp in 2002 and were married 22 years.&nbsp;

Barbara was an avid gardener and loved being a grandmother. Barbara lived the last years with her daughter’s family near Manhattan, Kansas enjoying country living once more. She delighted in the frequent visits from grandchildren and great grandchildren. That same spunky 2-year-old spirit remained with her to the very end.

She is survived by her first husband Frederick Banks, her children; son Chris (Shelly) Banks, Kansas City MO, her daughter Nancy (Daniel) Swihart, Manhattan KS, Grandchildren, Emmaline (Sam) Cook, EJ (Jena) Swihart, Lillian (Shiloh) Brock, Josiah (Hali) Swihart, Elsie (Malachi) Toth, Hezekiah Swihart, Obadiah Swihart, Malachi Swihart, and Elliana Swihart; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and dorm sisters: and her second husband.

A small private Family Memorial honoring her wishes&nbsp; will be held later in November.

Shane Allen Manor, 59, of Lake Wabaunsee, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Shane was born October 17, 1966, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Merril Max and JaNelda (Weaver) Manor. He attended grade schools and graduated from Wamego High School in 1985. He then attended Manhattan Technical College where he graduated from the HVAC program.

Shane worked as a heating and air conditioning technician for several years in Wamego for Butler Plumbing and Heating. He also worked in Marion, Scott City, Osage City, Hettinger, North Dakota, and Manhattan. He then worked for Menards and Brooks Yamaha.

Shane loved anything outdoors. He was a passionate fisherman and hunter. If a vehicle could travel off road, Shane was in the driver’s seat. It could be a side by side, a dune buggy, dirt bike, or anything with a motor. He also enjoyed working with wood and was a “Jack of all Trades”. He loved to tinker in his garage but also did several large projects including remodeling his home at Lake Wabaunsee. He also enjoyed remote control cars.

Shane loved to lovingly tease those around him and seldom did he not have a smile on his face. He was a fan of Star Wars, KU sports, the Chiefs, and old Volkswagens.

Shane married Trenna Thompson on August 21, 1993, in Belvue, Kansas. They shared their lives and raised their family for over thirty-two years. Trenna survives at their home.

He is also survived by his sons; Zackary Manor, Wichita, Darwin Manor (Deedee), Lake Wabaunsee, Jacob Manor (Chelsea), Wabaunsee, and Collin Manor, Wamego; his grandchildren, Nikki, Mykeltie, Grace, Jocelyn, Sulley, Chance, Sydnee, McKenna, and Remington; and a great-grandchild Walker; his sisters, Shawn Manor, Manhattan, and Sharri Furman, Cleveland, Texas. Shane was preceded in death by his mother, JaNelda, his stepmother, Joan, his brother, Scott Manor, niece, Aydan Manor, and his life-long friend, Scott Dinger.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In leu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Shane Manor Memorial Fund, to be determined at a later time, and those may be sent in care of the funeral home. Tampa - Francis T. Steiner, 85 passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Village Manor in Abilene, KS. He was born May 4, 1940 near Durham, KS the son of Ralph and Anne (Reznicek) Steiner. On April 15, 1961 he was united in marriage to Rita Silhan in Marion, KS. She survives of the home. 

Francis farmed and raised cattle northwest of Durham for over 60 years. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing around the Marion county area. He is survived by his loving wife Rita of the home. Three sons: John (Lisa) Steiner of Abilene, KS; Ron Steiner of Tampa, KS; and Ken Steiner of Colorado Springs, CO. One granddaughter, Kirsten (Tom) Horacek of Simpson KS, Three great-grandchildren; Tommy Lee, Adalyn and Lance Horacek. Three step-grandchildren; Justin, Cody and Tyler Goding. Siblings: Kathleen Oborny; Joyce Buckley; Barbara Rodriguez; Veronica (Jerry) Base; Margaret Bailey and Ralph G. (Ida) Steiner. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joy M. O'Connell, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas. She was born in October, 1940, in Rockaway Beach, New York, and spent her life nurturing those around her with warmth and kindness.

Joy dedicated eighteen years of her life as a daycare provider at the Fort Riley Child Development Center, where she touched the hearts of countless children and their families. Her passion for nurturing extended beyond her career, as she found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her home was adorned with photographs capturing precious moments with her nine grandchildren: Melissa, Brittany, Quelebrian, Laurelin, Christina, Amanda, Raymond, Jr., Anthony, and Brianna. One great-granddaughter, Ava. Each picture told a story of love and pride, a testament to the deep bond she shared with her family.

Joy’s love was not confined to her grandchildren alone; it reverberated through her relationships with her daughters, Hope Bunton of Milford, Kansas, and Crystal Mauceri and her husband Raymond of Endicott, New York, as well as her son, George Pietri and his wife Maria of Glen Cove, New York. Her brothers Arnold Main of Franklin Square, New York, Jerry Main of Long Island, New York, and James Main of Houston, Texas. All in addition to countless nieces and nephews will also carry forward her loving memory.

In addition to her family, Joy cherished the daily phone calls with her best friend, Gari Hamden, of Louisville, Kansas. Their friendship was a source of joy and support, highlighting the importance of connection that Joy held dear.

Those who knew Joy were blessed by her nurturing spirit and her love for gardening and travel. Spending time in her yard brought her peace and a sense of accomplishment. Joy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States capturing the beauty and the adventure of life's offerings.&nbsp;

Joy is preceded in death by her father William Stephan, her mother Jennie Main, her husbands, William Crowson, George Pietri, and Patrick O'Connell, her brother Denny Main, her brother Billy Stephan, her sister Christine Locke and her son-in-law Timothy Brunton. They welcomed her with open arms upon her passing, reuniting her with those she loved.

Larry W. Cyphers, 81, of Junction City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home. Cremation will take place. No services are planned.

Larry was born August 14, 1944, in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Harold W. and Violet L. (Daymude) Cyphers.

Larry had many careers in his lifetime. He worked as a mechanic for a local Chevrolet and Buick Dealership for many years. He also worked for Mid America Machines. He retired from the Geary Community Hospital after working in the information technology department for many years.

Larry enjoyed playing music with different bands for much of his adult life. He served seven years in the Kansas National Guard.

Larry married Janice Sanders July 15, 1964.

Survivors include his wife Janice of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Darren Cyphers and his wife Christina of Topeka, Kansas.

Other survivors include one brother-in-law Francis Sanders and his wife Phyllis of Junction City, Kansas; two sister-in-laws Karen Cyphers and Margyre Anholtz; two grandchildren, Madison and Trenton Youngblood; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Anita and one brother Harold.

Linda Jaramillo Evans, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully November 5, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas. Born on August 7, 1949, in San Bernardino, California, Linda lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

Linda's journey through life began in the vibrant atmosphere of San Bernardino, where her caring nature and ability to make friends easily flourished. Over the years, she created countless memories.

Linda married Larry Evans on December 13, 1981, in Barstow, California. The couple celebrated their honeymoon on New Year's Eve at The Forum in Englewood attending a concert with an incredible lineup of Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, and the Gatlin Brothers, highlighting her lifelong passion for music.

Linda embraced her role as a devoted wife and a nurturing mother. She is survived by Larry, along with her son, Donald Jaramillo, and her daughter, Stephanie Dunavan. Linda’s family continued to grow, bringing her joy as she became a grandmother to Eddie Antonio (Lupita) Jaramillo and Breanna Dunavan, and later, a great-grandmother to Eddie Jose Jaramillo. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she treasured the moments spent with them deeply.

Linda believed in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Junction City, Kansas.

Linda's interests were as diverse as her personality. A true music lover, she enjoyed all genres and proudly attended many concerts throughout her life, including her unforgettable experiences of seeing Elvis Presley live in Las Vegas not just once, but twice. Her passion for music was always matched by her love for food. She relished in the flavors of her heritage, particularly homemade tamales, tostadas, and enchiladas, which she often shared with her family.

Additionally, Linda had a keen interest in visiting museums, from presidential exhibits to the grandeur of the Smithsonian. This passion reflected her appreciation for history and culture, as well as her desire to share these experiences with those she loved.

As we remember Linda, we reflect on her caring nature, her ability to engage in enriching conversations, and her role as a devoted grandmother. She will be missed profoundly by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Herman and Consuleo Meastas Jaramillo, and her granddaughter, Consuleo Jaramillo. Her legacy of love and kindness will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 439 W 10th Street, Junction City, Kansas.&nbsp;

Betty J. Hakala, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Junction City, Kansas, at the age of 91. Born on December 10, 1933, in Plattville, Wisconsin, as one of six children to Axel and Mabel Nelson.&nbsp;

Betty married Edward Hakala on May 31, 1952, in Brantwood, Wisconsin. They spent many summers at Brantwood Co-op Park, where the beauty of nature surrounded them. Their life was enriched by their fondness for family card games, particularly canasta and poker, which provided countless hours of enjoyment and bonding.

Betty found joy in every season, embracing the beauty around her. She not only enjoyed nature but also took a liking to one special companion, her adopted stray cat, Calico, who brought her comfort and companionship over the years.

Betty is survived by her children: Duane Hakala, Beverly (Larry) Hanson, Cindy Ullmer, Cheryl (Jeff Sr.) Underhill, and Brenda (Rod) Gfeller. She also leaves behind her sister, Gladys Johnas, along with a legacy of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hakala, who passed away on February 28, 2010, her daughter Annette Krinhop, and sons, Steven Hakala and Alan Hakala.

David E. Ferris, 81, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Junction City, Kansas, on November 5, 2025. Born on June 13, 1944, David dedicated over 30 years of his life as a taxi driver with the Yellow Cab Taxi Company, where he had the opportunity to meet a multitude of interesting people. He was known for his ability to remember faces, names, and the cars everyone drove, a testament to his genuine interest in the lives of those around him.

David was a long-time member of the First Christian Church, where his faith and community ties remained strong throughout his life. He was deeply rooted in the Junction City community.

In addition to his professional life, David had a passion for watching westerns and collecting music, with a particular fondness for Elvis and country music. His CD and record collections were a cherished part of his life, reflecting his love for these genres and the joy they brought him.

He is survived by his beloved sister, Marilyn Ferris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Anna Ferris, and his brother, Larry Ferris.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life at visitation on November 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, at Johnson &amp; Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery, starting at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating.&nbsp;

Robert Lee Hanks, 74, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, Topeka, Kansas.

&nbsp; Robert was born on July 16, 1951, in Nuremberg, Germany, and was adopted by the loving family of Virgil and Stella Hanks. As the baby of the family, he joined his siblings: Virgil Jr., James Harv, Nancy, Mitzy Ann, and Alta.

&nbsp; Robert lived in California. After the untimely passing of their mother, Robert was raised by his eldest sister Nancy from ages 6 to 15. After graduating High School, Robert joined the armed forces.

&nbsp; Robert was a proud soldier who honorably served in the U.S. Army. Following his military separation, he dedicated 25 years to civil service, working for the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) as a hazardous material handler and later as a foreman in Barstow, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Fort Riley, Kansas, before his retirement. He also briefly served as a chaplain for the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department.

&nbsp; Robert enjoyed history, particularly the American Civil War era, and could often be found participating in reenactments. Cats, trains, and classic cars also brought a smile to his face. Robert took various jobs mowing grass in the Manhattan, Kansas, area when he ran out of his own grass to mow into perfection.

&nbsp; Robert met and married Darla Kay Bonner in Westmoreland, Kansas, and made the town their home. Robert gained a daughter through this union and made it official by adopting Pamela Lynn on November 11, 1991. After tolerating each other for long&nbsp;enough, Robert and Darla later divorced.

&nbsp; Robert is survived by his beloved daughter Pamela Hanks of Topeka, Kansas, cherished older sister Nancy Hysung of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and sister Alta Curtsinger of Waco, Texas.

&nbsp; Robert is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Stella Hanks; brothers Virgil Jr. and James Harv; sister Mitzi Ann; son Robert Lee Hanks Jr.; and his nagging, albeit loving, ex-wife Darla. His heavenly reunion was surely loaded with loved ones and maybe a little drama.

&nbsp; Robert’s family will hold a graveside memorial service with Military Honors on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Westmoreland City Cemetery. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.

Dale Axton, age 50, of St. George, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2025.

Born on December 14, 1974, in Manhattan, Kansas, Dale was the son of Leslie and Ila (Lewis) Axton.

A graduate of Manhattan High School, Class of 1993, Dale went on to earn an associate’s degree in Automotive Technology from Manhattan Area Technical College. He devoted his career to the automotive industry as an ASE-certified mechanic, later channeling his passion for tools and vehicles into a MATCO tool sales franchise. Dale, always seeking knowledge, studied and earned his CDL license, with Haz-Mat and Tanker endorsements.

Known for his generous spirit, Dale was always willing to help anyone with anything, whether it was giving advice, sharing tools, or finding the best prices for his customers.

Dale’s personality was characterized by his ornery spirit and sharp wit. He enjoyed pushing people's buttons and sharing a good laugh with those around him. His engaging nature allowed him to strike up a conversation with anyone. He found joy in his hobbies, especially working on cars, motorcycles, and caring for the chickens.

In addition to his work and hobbies, Dale took great pride in his involvement with the Wamego Masonic Lodge, where he was a member for more than 15 years, serving as the Worshipful Master for the last two years. He was also a member of the Kansas Valkyrie Riders, where he enjoyed riding his motorcycle all across the country, meeting new friends.

Dale leaves behind his mother, Ila Axton; life partner, Rachel Corn; brother, Neal Axton; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became a family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie Axton.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th , from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Columbian Theater in Wamego, beginning with a brief memorial service, followed by an opportunity to talk about Dale, share stories, and enjoy fellowship.

&nbsp;Robert Wayne Mundell, 85, of St. George, Kansas, passed away on Friday (October 31, 2025) at Good Samaritan Society-Valley Vista in Wamego, KS. Bob was a loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Born June 18, 1940, in Falls City, Nebraska, Robert was the son of Ray C. and Mable F. (Kastner) Mundell.&nbsp; He married Barbara Emma “Betty” Eisfeld on May 26, 1968, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salina, Kansas.&nbsp; She died July 26, 2021. Robert graduated from Lindsborg High School in Lindsborg, KS in 1958.

&nbsp;&nbsp; Robert proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1961 to 1966 in active duty and later transferred to reserve duty at the U.S. Naval Reserve Air Station in Yuma, AZ until Honorably Discharged in 1967. He earned many honors including on more than one occasion “Plane Captain of the Month” while serving upon the U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard aircraft carrier Attack Squadron One Hundred Ninety-Six of the pacific fleet.

&nbsp;&nbsp; Following his discharge, Robert began working in the construction industry as a plumber and pipefitter. He contributed to projects across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. Throughout his fifty-plus years in the industry, Robert’s dedication was widely recognized. Both colleagues and business owners valued his commitment and professionalism. He was initiated into Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 609, Manhattan, KS, in 1972. Robert actively promoted the organization, periodically serving on committees and the executive board.

&nbsp; He was a proud member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local for 53 years, retiring under

Local 441, Wichita, KS.&nbsp; Later in his retirement, Robert worked as a courier for LabCorp in Manhattan, KS. He was fondly known for bringing treats and garden goods to the acquaintances at the multiple medical offices along his route. His thoughtful gestures were eagerly anticipated by staff, brightening their days and fostering a sense of camaraderie throughout the community.&nbsp; He was also a member of the St. George American Legion Post No. 260 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manhattan, KS.

&nbsp;&nbsp; Robert enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, gardening, singing and playing guitar. He shared and enjoyed his many interests with friends and family of which there are so many fond memories.

&nbsp; Survivors include his son Fred Mundell (Lorrie) of Wamego, KS; two grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth Mundell of Williams, OR and Matthew Ray Mundell of Lawrence, KS.&nbsp;Sisters’ in-law, Karen Mundell and Connie Mundell and numerous nieces and nephews.
