UPDATED:
Don Ray Hohman, age 85 of Green, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Wakefield Care and Rehab Center.
He was born on December 26, 1938, in Randolph, the son of Floyd Russell and Ruth Vernelle (Anderson) Hohman. He graduated from Randolph High School and then served in the United States Army.
On August 7, 1960, he married Marcine Fern Stienbruck. She preceded him in death in 2022.
Don was a truck driver and delivered mail for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the American Legion and raised sheep and other livestock. He enjoyed fishing in his younger years.
He is survived by two sons, Chris Hohman and wife Martye of Glasco and Gaylen Hohman of Green; one brother, Jerry Hohman of Wakefield, and three sisters, Janice Pfeifer of Topeka, Coleen Weller of Clay Center and Kathy Olson of Topeka.
In addition to his wife Marcine, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lonnie Hohman and Larry Hohman.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on March 30, 2024 in the Rose Meron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Don Hohman Memorial Fund to be determined at a later date. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
