Riley County police have issued safety tips for children to keep in mind while trick or treating.
--Use reflective tape on buckets or bags, or glow sticks to make your children visible to everyone
--Stay together
--Trick or treat at well lit homes
--Do not go into a person's home or get into a vehicle with someone they do not know
--Stay alert
--Wait until you get home to eat candy so it can be inspected to make sure it is safe to eat.
