Kansas State University has seen 455 employees file religious or medical exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. That number is about five percent of the institution’s approximately 9,200 employees, according to K-State officials.
Those employees filing an exemption request were notified of their approval or denial Friday.

K-State officials say that a little over 80 percent of employees have been vaccinated.
KSU workers must upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Lafene Health Center website.
The deadline for university employees to be fully vaccinated is January 4 or face termination January 9.
The deadline for employees to receive at least the first round of vaccinations is Nov. 29.
