Allan Miller, 65, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Born August 2, 1957, in Yuma, Arizona, Allan was the son of Henry and Mary Lou Dishman Miller.
He had been married to Kathryn Brown and Leeane Craig, but for the last 20 years Allan shared his life with Susan Kent.
Allan loved working with his hands and was known for making knives. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors working in his yard and tending to his Tulips. Allan also enjoyed shooting pool and dancing.
A construction worker for many years, Allan worked steel construction in New York and after moving to Kansas for Hi-Tech Construction and Ashley Furniture until his health forced his retirement.
Survivors include his Domestic Partner, Susan Kent of Manhattan; his mother, Mary Lou James of Wamego; a daughter, Crystal Wildenauer (Phillip) of Manhattan; a son, Casey Craig of Davenport, IA; two step children, Danielle Salcedo (Bobby) of Manhattan and Daniel Kent (Jessica) of Austin, TX; nine grandchildren, Journey Beamer, Justice Beamer, Jewel Williamson, Jada Smith, Misty Wildenauer, Dayved Wildenauer, Caleb Hood-Craig, Jaxson Hood-Craig and Brooklyn Craig; four step grandchildren, Gage Salcedo, Landon Salcedo, Victor Wildenauer and Alek Wildenauer; a brother, Danny Miller (Diane) of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Allan was preceded in death by his father, Henry Miller; a sister, Adelia Brown Moehlman; and a brother, Kenneth “Maynard” Miller.
The family will meet with friends to celebrate the life of Allan at a visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego.
Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and inurnment will be at a later date in St. George Cemetery.
