Sharron Erickson, 79, of Manhattan, Kansas, and formerly of Hawkeye, Iowa, died Friday, February 3, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye with Rev. Ron Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the Hawkeye Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, February 10th, at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Hawkeye and for one hour preceding services at the Church on Saturday.
Sharron was born December 7, 1943, in West Union, IA, the daughter of Harold and Thelma (Ruroden) Patrick. She attended elementary school in Elgin moving to Hawkeye and graduated from North High School in West Union in 1962. On Jan 25, 1964, she married the love of her life Robert Erickson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkeye, IA and to this union 4 children were born. Sharron was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and worked various jobs throughout her life. When Sharron wasn’t home playing solitaire, catching up with friends and family on Facebook or spending time with her late dog Chanelle, you could always catch her at numerous events supporting her children and grandchildren, and you could definitely find her listening to some old school country music and of course, Elvis. Sharron loved life and was a giver. She gave many hours volunteering at church and for the community, taking care of her grandchildren during summer breaks and after school, and being there for her children when they needed her.

& Bailey Erickson; Larry (Jill) Erickson, Megan (CJ) Starr, Allie
(Blake) Ihde, Tyler (Jerika) Erickson, Nicole Lacey & Vance
(Marissa) Lacey; Bryan (Jana) Erickson, Brendan (Kayla) Erickson,
Bryanna (Jason) Grimes, Belinda (Pat) Moloney, Brittany Steen &
Katelyn Steen; daughter Shari (Ben) Wright, Joseph (Kelsey) Kraus,
Kendra (Anthony) Fogle & Christopher (Andrea) Kraus and her 23 great
grandchildren; brothers Larry (Kathi) Patrick, Dean (Lavonne) Patrick,
sister Rosalita (Allan) Berns; sister-in-law Janice (Leon) Lentz and
several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Sharron is preceded in death by her Husband Robert, beloved dog Chanelle, Parents Harold and Thelma Patrick, Robert’s Parents Ole and Henrietta Erickson Granddaughter Bobbi Lynn Erickson, niece Mary Schmadeke, nephew Kenneth Lentz as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
