Manhattan USD 383 Board of Education members voted 6-1 Wednesday to begin development of a superintendent succession plan for Superintendent Dr. Marvin Wade. The plan would name Assistant Superintendent Eric Reid as the successor when Wade retires. It should also be noted at this point that Wade has not announced any plan to retire.
This succession plan still must be developed and reviewed, and then brought back to the Board for final consideration.
