Tanzanite Trampoline and Tumbling program based in Wamego is sending one of their athletes to the Junior Olympics to compete this year.
Kaylee Turner is returning to the Junior Olympics after winning two gold medals last year.
“It feels a little weird because last year I had a lot of teammates by my side, but this time, I'm just going, well, so it's different, but I like know what I'm doing.” Junior Olympic athlete, Kaylee Turner says.
Turner says she has to remember not to overthink her jumps and routines.
“Don't overthink it, I overthink it all the time, it never really helps me.” Turner says.
Turner advises other athletes on how to keep focused.
“Just stick it. I feel like ‘stick it’ is the thing that keeps me going.” Turner says.
Tanzanite Tumbling and Trampoline will post a link to watch the competition via live feed on their Facebook page. Kaylee competes later this week.
