Johnny’s life began on May 21, 1952, in Battle Creek, MI. He is the son of Eddie and Virginia (Masaroli) Crocker. Johnny was a graduate of Junction City High School and received vo-tech training in Salina. He was united in marriage to Vickie Schlesener on May 28, 1994, at their home outside of Herington. He was previously married to Kim Holman. Johnny was a welder and did autobody repairs. He retired from Fort Riley as a quality control contractor. Everyone who knew Johnny, knew he was a prankster. He loved to laugh, ride his Harley Davidson, and enjoyed having a good time.
He is survived by his wife Vickie of Herington; children Torrie (Tevis) Denton and Clay (Amber) Crocker; grandchildren Jalen Denton, Leila Denton, Ryleigh Denton, Levi Denton, Arabella Crocker, and Grayson Crocker; sister Virginia Crocker and several nieces and nephews. Johnny passed away on Saturday December 24, 2022, at Herington Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Janet McKenna.
His family will gather with friends on Friday January 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington where his funeral service will be held on Saturday January 7th at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest in New Basel Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Johnny’s name may be directed to any area animal shelter.
