Glen Allen Briggs, 84, of Junction City, passed away on January 11, 2023, at his home. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is pending. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Junction City VFW Post 8773 in his memory, 1215 S Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441 or to a charity of your choice. Glen was born on February 1, 1938, in Elgin, Oklahoma to Wesley and Kathleen (Dotson) Briggs. He was one of seven kids in the family. After high school, he left his home in Oklahoma and joined the U.S Army. Following his Honorable discharge in 1963, he worked for Junction City as a water technician until his retirement in 2003. He married Lois Ann Long August 15, 1963, later divorcing. After the divorce, he married Cleta Mae Woods in 1970. Glen is survived by his two daughters Sheila Bolieu (Jason) of Salina, Kansas and Tina Wells (Randy) of Abilene, Kansas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents, siblings, and his granddaughter Ashleigh Wells of Abilene, Kansas.
