Barbara Ann Moore, 63, of Clay Center, Kansas, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at her residence. She was born on April 24, 1961 in Blythe, California, the daughter of Johnnie and Margaret (Biasi) Toombs.
Barbara grew up in Blythe, California. She moved to Blue Rapids, Kansas. She then attended Crum’s Beauty College. Barbara owned and operated The Makeover in Blue Rapids and Barnes, Kansas for over 20 years. After retiring from The Makeover she took care of her beloved grandchildren for the past 8 years. She lived in Green, Kansas from 1998 until moving to Clay Center in the summer of 2023, where she worked for USD 379 at Lincoln Elementary School. She is preceded in death by her parents and niece, Angie Webb.
Barbara is survived by her sons, William and wife, Adria Jackson of Blue Rapids, Kansas and Marco Jackson and significant other, Amy Beal of Brookings, Oregon; daughter, Alicia and husband, Adam Crowl of Clay Center, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Tommy and wife, Lenora Toombs of Barnes, Kansas and sister, Anita and husband Ron Smith of Barnes, Kansas.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas. A meal will follow at Vathauers.
A private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Marshall County, Kansas.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara Moore memorial fund, to be designated later by the family, and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
