Chase Garrett Ehlers, the son of Ted and Marcia (Dunn) Ehlers, was born on June 12, 1996 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He passed away on October 10, 2022 at Manhattan, Kansas at the age of 26 years, 3 months, 28 days.
Chase was baptized in the Webber United Methodist Church. Growing up, Chase attended many schools including Mt. View Elementary in Mt. View, Hawaii; North Polk Elementary School in Fort Polk, Louisiana; Stowers Elementary in Fort Benning, Georgia; Chapman Middle School in Chapman, Kansas and was a graduate of Lawrence/Nelson High School in Nelson, Nebraska. After graduating he attended the University of Nebraska for a time before enlisting in the United States Army on June 22, 2015 earning the National Defense service medal and Army service Ribbon. Chase was honorably discharged on December 20, 2017 and continued his education at the Kansas State University where he presently was enrolled.
Throughout Chase’s life, he lived in the communities of Helemano, HI, Fort Benning, GA, Mountain View, HI, Fort Polk, LA, Chapman, KS, Nelson, NE, presently living in Manhattan, KS.
Chase was preceded in death by his grandparents Duane and Pat Ehlers. Survivors include his parents Ted and Marcia and his brother Nash all of Chapman, Kansas; grandparents Don and Ardythe Dunn of Deshler, Nebraska and Paul and Linda Hutchinson of Superior, Nebraska; Aunts and Uncles Melanie and Ryan Mikkelsen of Ruskin, Nebraska; Tanya and Brandon Lynch of Raymond, Nebraska; Michelle & Greg Perkins of Reeds Spring, Missouri; Dawn and Larry Miller of Nelson, Nebraska; Brian and Sharon Soulek of Charlestown, Indiana; Devrie and Brian Hahn of Dallas, Texas; Ty and Michelle Ehlers of Norfolk, Virginia; John and Kathy Ehlers of Octavia, Nebraska; Dawn Griffith and Sally and John Kramar of Schuyler, Nebraska; numerous cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
