The National Weather announced that Ssevere thunderstorms are possible across the entire area Saturday afternoon and evening with the greatest potential in northeast and east central Kansas.
Large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding are the main hazards.
Forecast rainfall totals are 1 to 1.5 inches for Geary and Riley counties.
