The watch affects the following counties: Republic, Washington, Cloud, Clay, Riley, Ottawa, Dickinson, Geary, and&nbsp;Morris.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Conditions&nbsp;currently&nbsp;favor fires&nbsp;with north winds of 15 to 20&nbsp;mph,&nbsp;and&nbsp;gusts of 25 to 35mph,&nbsp;isolated to 40&nbsp;mph, and expected humidity levels below 20 percent.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Officials warn that any fires that develop in areas with dried fuels will&nbsp;likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
