CW3 Chief Warrant Officer James Brady Cook II, 39, of Wakefield, Kansas, passed away on May 7, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia. Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Graveside services with military honors at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
He was born on November 26, 1982, at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, to James and Lisa Cook.
On May 26, 2009, he married Jessica Oquist.
James was a CW2 in the United States Army where he flew C-12s as a pilot. Since he passed his promotion boards, the Army is awarding James the rank of CW3 posthumously. He served four deployments overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
His passions were being a father to his two sons, Brady and Ezra, and traveling the world.
James is survived by his loving wife, Jessica; sons, Brady and Ezra; parents, James and Lisa Cook; brother, Jason Cook; paternal grandparents, Robert and Karalee Cook; maternal grandmother, Virginia Sinnett.
