Fort Riley release
The 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley will conduct the post’s annual Memorial Day observance Monday, May 26, at 11:40 a.m. at the Post Cemetery, 193 Huebner Rd. The observance honors the men and women who died while serving in our country’s armed forces.
Col. Jerry Nunziato, Fort Riley Garrison Commander, will speak as part of the ceremony. Following his remarks, Col. Nunziato and Command Sgt. Maj. John Adkerson, Fort Riley Garrison Command Sgt. Maj., will place a wreath in honor of Fort Riley’s fallen.
The ceremony is open to the public. Visitors who do not have a Department of Defense ID card can get a pass at the visitor control center, Exit 301 off I-70, or submit an application online at https://home.army.mil/riley/index.php/about/visitor-info.
