The Manhattan Public Works Department will present a spring update for street maintenance to the City Commission during its next work session at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 in the Commission Room at City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Ave.

This presentation will focus on street construction that has been completed this year, upcoming street construction that is still scheduled for this year, a five (5)-year Capital Improvement Program list of future street maintenance needs, and a review of both current and future street funding options.

In addition, the commissioners also will be asked to provide direction on how to proceed with private workforce housing project requests using funds from the Workforce Housing Sales Tax (WHST).

The WHST Policy Manual Resolution allows the City Commission, at its discretion, to provide funding for private workforce housing projects. For more information, view the action item and presentation here.

Finally, commissioners will discuss the upcoming Manhattan Cemeteries Improvements project and be asked to provide direction on its Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).
