Phyllis Sherbert, 82 died February 16, 2024, in Chapman, KS. She was born on February 11, 1942, in Wakefield, KS the daughter of Albert and Patricia (Reed) Pittenger. Phyllis was raised in the Wakefield community. She married William Sherbert on October 14, 1962. Phyllis farmed with her husband and operated Sherbert Kennels for many years. She enjoyed gardening and canning produce through the summer and fall. In her free time, Phyllis enjoyed camping with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, regularly attending school programs and 4-H events. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Phillip Pittenger.

Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Gatesville Cemetery in Clay County, KS. A celebration of life luncheon is planned for 12 p.m. at the Family Life Center at the Clay Center United Methodist Church
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
