Dwight “Tony” Anthony Hamilton

Dwight “Tony” Anthony Hamilton, age 67, of Manhattan, KS died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan. 

He was born in New London, Ohio, the son of Albert Hamilton and Juanita Hamilton Akers. Dwight grew up in New London, Ohio, and attended Mapleton High School. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminal Justice. 

Dwight served his country in the Army for 4 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades and later became a handyman, owning his own businesses off and on. He was also a great car salesman throughout the years. He enjoyed working with his hands and was an avid sports fan, especially Kansas State University and the Kansas City Chiefs. In his earlier years, he loved to cruise the back roads on his motorcycle. Dwight was known as a free spirit; he would give you the shirt off his back and loved helping people. He will be missed by all of those whom he called a friend and family.

Dwight is survived by his son; Dustin W. Hamilton, Daughter; Tina M. Clark, Brothers; Ronald Hamilton, Buddy Hamilton, and Bo Hamilton, Sisters; Pamela James Gardner, Mary A. Vonberhren, Elizabeth Ives, and his Grandchildren; Madilynn Hamilton, and Sawyer Clark.

A celebration of life will be held with Military Honors at the Veterans Cemetery in Manhattan, KS on October 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
