(Riley County, KS – November 18, 2024) Riley County is seeking dedicated residents to serve on various advisory boards and committees. These volunteer positions provide an opportunity to impact policies, programs, and initiatives that influence the lives of everyone in the community. “Our advisory boards rely on the energy and creativity of engaged residents,” said Riley County Clerk Rich Vargo. “By participating, you’re helping ensure Riley County remains strong and resilient.”
Advisory councils, boards, and committees with open positions include the Riley County Council on Aging, Law Enforcement Agency Board, Riley County Planning Board/Board of Zoning Appeals, as well as others. The experience requirements and service commitments vary for each board. Please visit the Riley County website to see a full list of openings. The application form includes a dropdown menu for each of the boards in Riley County, but it’s important to note only a few boards have current openings.
