WABAUNSEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Friday in Wabaunsee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy G1500 driven by Samuel G. Wright, 68, Kansas City, Kansas, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of Carlson Road.
The pickup slid into median and struck the back of guard rails for westbound traffic. EMS transported Wright and a passenger Laquite M. Vance, 63, Woodville, Tennessee to KU Medical Center. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
