The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has rescheduled the start of the K-177 reconstruction project between Council Grove and Strong City to 2026 due to scheduling conflicts. The project originally was expected to begin this summer.
The replacement for the K-177 bridge over Fourmile Creek, which is part of the same project, has also been delayed and is now scheduled to begin in late August. Additional construction details will be shared at a later date.
