Monday is the beginning of the fall semester at Kansas State University.    There will be welcome booths for students needing help finding their class locations.

Tours of the renovated Hale Library will be available this week.

There will be a celebration of 100 years of recreational services on the campus from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Activities will range from a sand volleyball tournament and sample group fitness classes to a bouldering wall competition plus cake and ice cream.

On Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a welcome back to campus with a community-building lunch on Anderson Lawn for students, faculty and staff. There will be a boxed lunch, live entertainment, giveaways and you can make new connections with members of the K-State community.

There are ongoing city roadwork projects. Areas on Fort Riley Boulevard, U.S. Highway 24 and Kimball Ave., plus areas in Aggieville are under construction.
