If you eat or buy food in Riley County your VOICE needs to be heard! Over the next few months, the Food and Farm Council of Riley County and the City of Manhattan, along with many community partners will be creating a local Food System Master Plan. A strong Food System Plan can do many things including:
- Create new jobs
- Reduce food waste
- Empower all to work together for easier access to local, healthy foods
To build a strong local food system, the community needs a roadmap to guide the process. They need to know where and how to invest time, resources, and partnerships to best support a vibrant local food economy.
