Here’s a quick rundown of the Anderson Avenue project. The City of Manhattan said that it will run through 2027 and is split into three primary phases, with the main goal of replacing the aging waterline beneath the roadway. This line has reached the end of its lifespan and has caused repeated main breaks in the area.
While we’re in there, they’re also upgrading the concrete roadway, improving storm water infrastructure, and adding wider, ADA-accessible sidewalks to make the corridor safer and more reliable for everyone.
