Geraldine Donna Criswell, 82 of Abilene passed away December 27, 2023. She was born February 4, 1941 in Ladore, Kansas, the daughter of Geard J. and Hazel (Vitousic) Quathamer. She graduated from Erie High School in 1959. She was united in marriage to Ernest Criswell April 2, 1961. He preceded her in death April 2, 1999.
Geraldine is survived by her three daughters: Hazel Criswell and husband Jeff Montgomery; Dawna Taylor and Danette Whiteley and husband Darren. Grandchildren: Nathan Shea and wife Christa; Chantal Kronmiller; Alisha Bartee and husband Mike; Deric Taylor and wife Kate; Dynae Cooper and husband John; Dacia Whiteley; Cheylynne Corral; Dauson Whiteley and wife Amy and Dakotah Whiteley and wife Alysson. 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Marty Criswell, great-granddaughter Ryka Cooper, son-in-law, Tom Taylor, two sisters and a twin brother.
Funeral Services for Geraldine will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Abilene First Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Solomon. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. Family suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
