City of Manhattan
At the Tuesday, June 30th Commission Meeting, City of Manhattan staff will propose a 2027 budget that keeps the mill levy flat while continuing to fund core services, support employees, and allocate more dollars to the bond and interest fund.
The proposed budget increase is limited to 2%, despite high inflation. The draft includes an increase in General Operating Fund expenditures and reallocates an additional $3.4 million towards debt.
Residents are encouraged to watch the meeting and follow the upcoming budget discussion dates: June 30, July 7, and August 11.
The final budget will be adopted on September 15 to meet state requirements.
