Matilda Jane (Porter) Scott, 94 of Abilene passed away February 17, 2024. She was born April 30, 1929, the daughter of Raymond and Edith (Bell) Porter.&nbsp; On February 3, 1953 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Scott in Abilene. Matilda worked at ALCO Duckwall for 25 years in the warehouse department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Abilene. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

 She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Matilda’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Abilene City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to Village Manor Nursing Home.&nbsp; Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.&nbsp;
