MANHATTAN - On February 1st, Riley County Police officers responded to the report of a stolen truck from the 4100 block of McDowell Creek Road.
A 65-year-old man reported a 41-year-old man had stolen his 2016 Ford F-250.
Officers located the missing truck and suspect in the 700 block of Yuma Street, when they attempted to contact the man, he ran from the scene.
The suspect, Theodore Ayon Jr, of Manhattan, was located in the 700 block of Colorado Street and taken into custody.
Ayon, Jr. was found to have an suspended driver's license and driving a stolen truck to the residence of a person who has a no contact order against him.
Ayon, Jr. was arrested for theft, interference with LEO, violation of a protection order, and driving while suspended. He remains confined to the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $10,000.
