Downtown Manhattan officials have confirmed that the Third Thursday event this ( Thursday ) evening has been cancelled due to rain.
The next one will be held on the third Thursday in June.

Third Thursday features local arts and entertainment in downtown Manhattan on Poyntz Ave. The first one of the year was scheduled from 5-8 p.m. this Thursday.
Gina Scroggs, Downtown Manhattan Executive Director, said the event showcases local artisans, performers, entertainers, musicians, craft food and drink. "It's a family friendly event. There's something for everybody. "
The event puts the spotlight on downtown. "Really downtown is about being local and so it's very fitting that you should be part of the local business community but also enjoying the local offerings of our local talent."
May’s Third Thursday features a variety of activities.

- A cake walk with bakery goodies by Bourbon and Baker at 6:00 p.m.
- Suzuki Violinists
- Children’s art project with Artastic
- Strecker Nelson West Gallery Trunk Show
- After Hours at Finn’s Neighborhood Pub
- 90’s Trivia at Manhattan Brewing Company
- Artists of various mediums, including macramé, caricatures, painting and pottery
- Food and drink specials from Downtown restaurants
