Furniture Amnesty Day is set for this Friday, July 26 in Manhattan's City Park starting at 8 AM. This is a free community event that gives people the opportunity to donate or pick up used furniture at no cost. Anyone can participate.
According to a City social media announcement registration for furniture shopping begins at 8 AM in City Park. Free shopping will be scheduled in 15-minute time slots from 11 AM- 4 PM. If you would like to donate furniture for the event, please visit www.cityofmhk.com/furniture to fill out a donation form and learn what is accepted. The deadline to register for pickup service is 5 PM Wednesday, July 24. All items for donation pickup need to be at the curb by 7 AM on July 26. Donations also can be dropped off at Miller Field in City Park from 8 AM-3 PM on July 26.
