MANHATTAN - Just before 2:00 pm on Wednesday afternoon, emergency crews were called to the scene of a 3-vehicle crash at the intersection of Seth Child and Southwind Roads in Manhattan.
After investigation, Riley County Police Department determined a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 23-year old Rebecca Lazarus of Manhattan was traveling northbound on South Seth Child Road.

Lazarus was attempting to turn west(left) onto Southwind and hit a 2009 Dodge Journey driven by 21-year old MacKenzie Clements, also of Manhattan, who was traveling southbound on Seth Child Road.
Upon impact, Lazarus' car was spun into a 2016 Hyundai semi truck's trailer axel, before coming to a stop in the middle of the intersection. The semi came to a stop on the northbound shoulder following the impact.

Lazarus was transported to Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan by Riley County EMS for treatment of arm and other injuries.
19-year old Malia Clements of Junction City, was a passenger in Mackenzie Clements' vehicle, she was also transported to Ascension Via Christi by Riley County EMS for a possible broken ankle.
MacKenzie Clements was later transported by private vehicle to Ascension Via Christi for rib pain.
