Claude Calvin Borger Jr., 75, of Wamego, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday (July 18, 2023) at his home in Wamego.
Born October 19, 1947 in Walnutport, Pennsylvania, Junior was the son of Claude Calvin and Naomi (Strausser) Borger Sr. He married Sandra K. Kobiskie on January 10, 1970 in Wamego, Kansas. She survives.
Mr. Borger served his country in the U. S. Army.
Junior enjoyed watching T.V., hunting and fishing and had a special place in his heart for animals. He loved spending time with his family.
Junior was employed at Steel & Pipe for 39 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; two sons, Keith Borger of Roeland Park, KS and Jonathan Borger (Lisa) of Berryton, KS; four grandchildren, Bradley Borger (Taylor); Tabitha Gilbreth, Chelsea Green (Chris) and Holden Green; five great grandchildren, Makayla Holloway, Alexis Holloway, Kingstyn Holloway, Ava Nelson and Amaya Nelson and a great grandchild due in just a couple of weeks. Also surviving are three sisters, Marietta Love (Arling) of Lehighton, PA, Sharon Ross (Charles) of Weissport, PA and Brenda Borger (Theresa) of Allentown, PA; two brothers, Melvin Borger (Linda) and Ray Borger (Sue) both of Whitehall, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents.
Private services will be held.
