Sondra Marlene Rookstool

Sondra Marlene Rookstool, age 84, died December 14, 2021, in Clay Center, Kansas. She was born January 9, 1937, to Ivan and Doris (Haas) Bandy. Sondra grew up in Vining, KS and later moved to the Clay Center area. She married Samuel Rookstool on June 22, 1963. He survives of the home. Sondra worked as a certified nursing assistant but spent most of her time being a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read, sew, garden, and cook. She raised chickens for many years and loved her cats. Sondra had a way of telling jokes. She would often laugh in the middle of her joke, which always made the joke even more funny. Sondra was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Claudia Greathouse and Patricia Cornett; sons, Jim Cornett and Shane Rookstool and sister, Sharon Mains

Daughter: Linda (Paul) Olson of Concordia, KS

Son: Robert (Lisa) Rookstool of Clay Center, KS

Son: Shawn (Amanda) Rookstool of Clay Center, KS

21 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services: December 17, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Clay Center Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, KS

Visitation: Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
