Kyle Jacob Sisson

Kyle Jacob Sisson, 38, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his home. 

Kyle was born on May 16, 1984, in McPherson, KS, the son of James Randal and Helen Ludwena (Gruenbacher) Sisson.  He graduated from Spearville High School in 2003 and attended Hutchinson Community College on a track scholarship.  He then enlisted in the Navy Seabees and served his country for seven years.  Kyle was currently enrolled as a fulltime student at McPherson College. 

Survivors include: his three children, Adia, Haley, and William Sisson of Hutchinson, KS; parents, Jim & Helen Sisson of McPherson, KS; siblings, Jeremy Sisson (Briana) of Orlando, FL, Adam Sisson (Val) of San Antonio, TX, and Erica Harris (Josh) of Port Orchard, WA; nieces & nephews, Kalena Sisson, Emerson Sisson, Ethan Sisson, and Lily Harris; aunts & uncles, Bobbie Hokr (Randy) of Bella Vista, AR, Rhonda Menard (Galen) of McPherson, KS, Rita Robben (Dennis) of Andale, KS, Ed Gruenbacher (Debbie) of Colwich, KS, Jane Radatz (Ed) of Lindsborg, KS, Theresa Simon (Duane) of Manhattan, KS, Evelyn Osner  (Albert) of Conway Springs, KS, Herb Dick of Mount Hope, KS, and Dave Seiwert of Conway Springs, KS; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Louis & Cathryn Gruenbacher and Bob & Lois Sisson, and two aunts, Doris Dick and Mary Seiwert.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 12, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Empire Cemetery, Galva.

Memorial donations may be payable to James Sisson for the benefit of Kyle’s children’s education fund in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
