Riley County health officials have identified four new COVID-19 cases and 15 additional recoveries for the week of April 17-23. There are currently two known active COVID-19 cases in the county.
One additional COVID-19-related death has also been confirmed by the Office of Vital Statistics. The patient was a 74 year-old, unvaccinated man. He tested positive Jan. 14 and died Feb. 9. There have been 81 COVID-related deaths in Riley County.
There is one COVID-19 patient currently hospitalized at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.
