Rock the Plains country music festival will be held at Tuttle Creek State Park Aug. 8-9.

The Executive Director for the festival, Brandyn Steen, spoke during a press conference at the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets and camping are about 60% sold out and there will be a cap of 10,000 tickets in order to provide the best experience.
Ticket sales have been much faster than expected. The festival may expand into three days next year with other types of acts (mainstream country, rock) .
