Rock the Plains country music festival will be held at Tuttle Creek State Park Aug. 8-9.

The Executive Director for the festival, Brandyn Steen,&nbsp; spoke during a press conference at the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets and camping are about 60% sold out and there will be a cap of 10,000 tickets in order to provide the best experience.&nbsp; 

Ticket sales have been much faster than expected.&nbsp; The festival may expand into three days next year with other types of acts (mainstream country, rock) .
