K. Larry Lyne was born July 27, 1938 in Abilene the son of Kenneth and June (Beech) Lyne. He passed away December 23, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene.
Larry lived in Longford, and the Clay Center area before moving to Abilene in 1953 where he worked at various places including Duane Berger Painting and Decorating, Ronald Rice’s, Robson Oil, and Tim’s Cabinet until retiring in 1994.
On June 19, 1956 he was united in marriage to Janice I. Elliott in Clay Center. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son Doug and his wife Tina of Assaria, daughters Debby Gfeller and her husband Kenny of Junction City, Kelly Irvin and her husband Tim of San Antonia, Texas, Pam Suneson of Houston, Texas, brother Dennis Lyne of Arizona, sisters Karen Hartman and her husband Don of Topeka, Janice Gordon of Salina, fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Larry JR in 1991, infant grandson Gregory Gfeller, sisters Cheryl Bergman and Betty Allen, son in law Jack Suneson and his parents.
Larry’s family has selected cremation and private services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Research Hospital and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
