  Margaret Evelyn (Spiller) Wecker of Manhattan, 99 years old, died October 28th, 2025, in Manhattan Kansas.Margaret was born January 11, 1926, in rural Frankfort, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Pearl Spiller. Margaret graduated from Beattie High School and Brown-Mackie School of Business in Salina, Kansas.

Margaret married Raymond Wecker on March 13, 1949, at the Beattie Methodist Church. For 14 years they farmed north of Beattie, moved to Marysville and then to Manhattan where they were both employed at Kansas State University.Margaret worked for 32 years for the State of Kansas, for the Kansas Veterans Commission in Marysville and at Kansas State University, retiring from the Department of Entomology. After retiring she worked part-time for Audubon of Kansas.

  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Marion Spiller of Norwich, Kansas, and her twin sister Mary Reynolds of Manhattan.Margaret is survived by her daughter Janet and husband David Sunderland, Houston, Texas and her grandson Jason and his wife Melissa Sunderland, Bloomington, Indiana. She is also survived by two great granddaughters and three great-great granddaughters, and her nieces, and nephews.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 12:30p.m. until 1:30p.m. Tuesday November 4 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.
