Effective this week Highway 24 was reduced to one lane in each direction from South Port Drive to Scottie Lane. Traffic shifted to the inside lanes and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph. Motorists should allow themselves extra time for their daily commute.
Work is expected to be completed in approximately four (4) weeks weather permitting. Traffic will then be shifted to the right lanes to allow for work in the median.
