Larry Everett “Woody” Woodard, age 72 of Manhattan, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on July 13, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Everett and Lydia (Wolfe) Woodard. He grew up in Goodland, Kansas and retired to University Park in 2017.
On May 4, 1974, he married Regina Nestor in Connecticut. She survives of the home.
Woody was a construction foreman for Woofter Construction in Colby and a jack of all trades. He could do electrical work, plumbing, concrete jobs and was an excellent wood craftsman. He raised German Shepherds and loved riding his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed music from the 60’s and 70’s, playing the harmonica and piano, watching and attending Nascar races, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Regi of Manhattan; one son, Jesse Woodard and wife Danelle of Manhattan; two daughters, Lindsey Spanier and husband Justin of Northglenn, Colorado, and Lori Barnett and husband Mac of Dighton; one brother, Monte Woodard and wife Janet of Neptune Beach, Florida; one sister, Elsie Woodard of Parsons; nine grandchildren, Macey, Liam, Jace, Brendon, Kadrick, Mason, Michael, Matthew, and Makala, and one great grandchild, Judah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Brian Woodard, a niece, Londa Bedore, and a great nephew, Dylan Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 30, 2023, at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
