Martin E. Anderson, 55, of Junction City, passed away on May 6, 2024, in his home. Cremation has taken place and a family led celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Martin was born on August 16, 1968, to Martin and Gloria (Phipps) Anderson in Fort Hood, Texas. Martin worked in Junction City as a plumber for over 40 years. He also owned and operated Anderson Sewer and Drain after taking over the family business from his step-father, Larry. Martin learned many of his skills and techniques from his step-father and would continue to treasure these skills until his passing.
For residents of the community who could not afford his work, Martin made sure to provide them with his services regardless. This is a perfect demonstration of who Martin was as a person. He had a heart of gold and was always there when needed. Some of Martin's favorite hobbies would include hunting, fishing, and of course spending time with his loving family and friends.
Martin is survived by his soul mate, Debra Anderson; three children, Andrew (Kara) Anderson, Summer (Jeremy) Lightfoot, and Heather (Dan) Crumpton; three siblings, Ann (Craig) Pratt, Gemini (Tim) Tillotson, and Susie (Ray) Boller; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 15 nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends. Martin was preceded by his mother, Gloria Phipps; father, Martin E. Anderson, and his step-father, Larry Phipps.
The Anderson family requests memorial contributions to go toward Marty Anderson's Go Fund Me account for funeral expenses.
