Wednesday evening employees at Vista Drive In served a large group of 15-20 people by handling their orders and getting them out as fast as possible. Part owner Matt Streeter noted that he "was so proud of the employees we have."
Later there was a lady standing at the counter who asked who asked how many employees were working and Streeter replied that there were seven. She relayed the information to the group that they had served.
Streeter said several minutes later a gentleman said they had a little something for the employees who were working and asked to make a presentation to them. Once the employees were gathered the gentlemen said "because we took good care of the group he was with and serving them so fast he wanted to present a special gift to all of us. He then told us what the gift was and their whole group wished us a Merry Christmas and thanked us. " Streeter didn't reveal the gift but said the employees were stunned. "I know everyone of them had a smile on their face. It was truly the best and most thoughtful thing I've ever seen from a customer ( s ) in my 30 plus years in my family business.
Streeter later added: I have received some pictures and videos and these wonderful people are a group from Wamego, Lake Elbo and Manhattan. One of them called themselves the "mystery Christmas cheer spreaders" which I think fits them perfectly!
