Kansas man hospitalized after rear-end, rollover crash

WABAUNSEE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 12a.m. Sunday in Wabaunsee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Ford Taurus driven by Chance M. Bender, 25, Council Grove, was  westbound on Interstate 70 nine miles west of Topeka at a high rate of speed and

The Ford rear-ended a 2013 Jeep Wrangler driven by Daniel C. Dick, 28, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The driver lost control of the Ford. It entered the center median and rolled. The Jeep pulled off onto the westbound shoulder.

EMS transported Bender to Stormont Vail in Topeka. Dick was not injured. Bender was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
